What is a Swiss student visa?

A Swiss student visa is of 2 types Type-C(shorter stays) and Type-D(Longer stays). International students are granted a Schengen visa for one year with the possibility of extension. These visas are applicable only for countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
